According to the rite, the term "convert" should never be used in reference to baptized bap·tize  
v. bap·tized, bap·tiz·ing, bap·tiz·es

v.tr.
1. To admit into Christianity by means of baptism.

a. To cleanse or purify.

b. To initiate.

 Christians who are received into full communion with the Catholic Church. In most if not all cases these individuals have already been converted to Christ, and so we are united in that common faith. Although it has commonly been used to refer to anyone being received into the Catholic Church, continued usage only reinforces present barriers to ecumenism ecumenism

Movement toward unity or cooperation among the Christian churches. The first major step in the direction of ecumenism was the International Missionary Conference of 1910, a gathering of Protestants.
