The rescuing hug. (News in Brief).

Twin girls Brielle and Kyrie Jackson were born October 17, 1995, twelve weeks premature in Worcester, Massachusetts. Brielle weighed two pounds and was struggling with a battery of problems ranging from breathing and troubling blood-oxygen levels, to heart rate difficulties. Her sister Kyrie however, at two pounds and three ounces, was making good progress and gaining weight.

The girls were placed in separate incubators, a standard practice to reduce the risk of cross infection. The twins parents had little hope for Brielle's survival as her condition worsened and she became increasingly stressed.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old nurse Gayle Kasparian made an unheard of Not heard of; of which there are no tidings.

When they were finally placed together, nurses and doctors watched in astonishment as Kyrie, the healthier twin, threw an arm over her sister in an endearing en·dear·ing
