The real thing.


"The real thing still exists" claims the country's tourism promotional slogan A slogan is a memorable motto or phrase used in a political, commercial, religious and other context as a repetitive expression of an idea or purpose.

Slogans vary from the written and the visual to the chanted and the vulgar.
. And it does indeed exist, and thankfully thank·ful

 the country still has not been taken over by mass tourism and international tour operators. Bolivia's beauty remains a secret to a few discerned travellers. Equally important, business opportunities abound in the tourism sector, with almost every province welcoming foreign investment to increase accommodation capacity or set up other tourism-related infrastructure. Bolivia is one of those few countries where one doesn't need to look for traditions. They can be found everywhere. The high Andean plain, the Amazonian jungle, high snowed peaks, Andean valleys, cities which have been declared cultural heritage of mankind ... all are spectacularly beautiful. Bolivia has all of this as well as the incredible hospitality of its people. The country has over 32 ethnic groups, which make up a cultural, linguistic and folkloric mosaic that will allow the visitor to enjoy unforgettable moments. Some of the breathtaking breath·tak·ing

 sights include the Uyuni salt flats and the Lagunas de Colores, as well as the Madidi Park and the Pantanal. In addition to these natural attractions there are places of historical importance and equal beauty carefully preserved through the last two centuries, like the cities of Sucre Sucre, city (1992 pop. 131,769), S central Bolivia, constitutional capital of Bolivia and capital of Chuquisaca dept. Since 1898, La Paz has been the administrative capital of Bolivia.  and Potosi. In contrast, there is also the ancient and world renowned ruins of Tiwanaku, the oldest culture of Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies.  and the cradle of the Incan Empire. Bolivia is a must-see destination for all nature lovers, and for those who are passionate about culture and enough adventure to fill their spirits. And the good news is that there are regular direct flights between the USA and Bolivia.
