The purchase of the drive belt manufacturer Roulunds Rubber A/S, Odense Odense (ō`thənsə), city (1992 pop. 140,886), capital of Fyn co., S central Denmark, a seaport linked by canal with the Odense Fjord (an arm of the Kattegat). Denmark's third largest city, it is an important commercial, industrial, and cultural center and a rail junction., Denmark, by ContiTech AG, Hanover, Germany, has been concluded. With the purchase, ContiTech will be able to enter the Indian market, while at the same time expanding its share of production in low-cost countries, as Roulunds has plants in Korea, India and China.
