The place for African films. (World).

The National Film & Video Foundation hosted a South Africa exhibit at the 18th edition of FESPACO, Africa's largest film festival, held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, West Africa, February 22-March 1.

This year's festival screened a record 13 South African movies; two films, Waiting for Valdez and A Drink in the Passage, were selected to open a special section devoted to the region. South Africa's own Department of Arts & Culture, M-Net and Film Resource Unit all sent representatives to FESPACO, hoping to build relationships and find co-production partners.
