As the word commodity has distinct meanings in business and in Marxist theory, commodification of human life would be accommodationist ac·com·mo·da·tion·ist n. One that compromises with or adapts to the viewpoint of the opposition: a factional split between the hard-liners and the accomodationists. to support federal and international funding of stem-cell research, since this would ensure a degree of monitoring. Then perhaps the ethical dialogue will continue and cloning might be condemned, even if it may not be universally avoided.
