In regards to the new Blueberry Green Kukicha tea, Tom Havran, tea expert for Frontier, says that the product was developed in response to the recent growth in consumption of green tea and blueberries. "The unique processing of Japanese green tea produces not only sweet, fresh aromas and flavors, but also some of the highest levels of key antioxidants of any tea," he says. "We selected our green kukicha stem tea, known as karigane, from the finest tea regions in Japan and rounded out the flavor with an amazing a·maze

The organic Genmaich Matcha tea contains spring-harvested sencha tea leaves and toasted rice, which gives the tea a touch of nutty sweetness. The Jasmine Pearl offering uses the spring-grown tips of the tea plant and features hand-rolled pearls that are formed from two leaves and the bud at the end of the stem. These pearls are then enhanced with the addition of fresh jasmine flowers, which are later removed.

Each ounce of whole loose leaf The term loose leaf is used in the United States and some other countries to describe a piece of notebook paper which is not actually fixed in a spiral notebook. In some places, like the United Kingdom, the phrase loose leaf  tea yields approximately 19 servings. Cost per serving ranges from 20 cents to 30 cents for the three new varieties of artisan teas.
