The new dmrkynetec.

In today's economy, it's not enough to be in the game. Like a hiker relying on a compass, knowing what direction you're headed, no longer guarantees success ... or survival.

The stakes are too high to rely on old plays and technologies.

That's the thinking behind international market research and consulting firm dmrkynetec. Striving to offer game plans and guidance stemming from decades of experience in market knowledge and advanced intelligence-gathering techniques, they deliver innovative market research and consulting services fitting client needs. They specialize in crop protection and biotechnologies, agricultural equipment, and animal health.

A RICH HISTORY

dmrkynetec is built on years in agricultural market research and consulting. The 2007 merger of Kynetec Limited, Newbury, U.K., and Doane Marketing Research, Inc., St Louis, MO, created an innovative marketing information business with an expanded global reach.

Today, the company is arguably the leading global provider of information and services for the crop protection, biotechnology and animal health industries.

Its legacy companies allow dmrkynetec to compile years of market and tracking data for clients. "The ability to package our detailed market knowledge with our historical data provides an edge over competitors," says dmrkynetec's, CEO Stephen Hearn.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH

dmrkynetec has launched an aggressive growth strategy totaling five new locations in just two years. Responding to the demand for market knowledge in Eastern Europe, an office in Pozna, Poland was first. Soon after, the company added two senior researchers in Asia.

In 2008 dmrkynetecc furthered its reach in the animal health sector. A joint venture with the market research giant GfK, merged GfK animal health U.K. Ltd and m2A SAS, France with dmrkynetec's existing services. Included were GfK's custom agricultural and animal health research activity in Germany, animal health client services and support based in Ireland and plans to develop U.S. companion animal health information.

Today, dmrkynetec is majority-owned by GfK. It has locations with U.S. offices in St. Louis, California and Ohio. U.K., Italy, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland and Spain locations support multiple geographies along with China and Malaysia serving the Asia Pacific arena. Growth continued in 2009 integrating GfK R&D plus the addition of fifteen to its global talent pool.

CORE SERVICES

The formula to rapidly expand its global reach, strengthen its portfolio and continue to service all agriculture sectors has worked well, according to Hearn. "We're solidly positioned to provide the information needed in today's challenging marketplace," says Hearn. "But delivering information isn't enough. We have the capabilities and experience to guide companies in using information to build strategies for greater profitability."

Hearn points to their core services for successfully attracting some of the biggest players in agribusiness. These include a research reach into over 80 countries partnered with progressive intelligence technologies:

* Customized global ad hoc market research expertise.

* Continuous farm level research for US, U.K., Poland, China, Japan and SE Asia.

* Continuous transactional research programs.

* Trade/industrial interview research covering 70 countries.

* i-map, the proprietary Market Knowledge Management system.

"We provide global capabilities, access to cross-industry expertise, creative and insightful market research, and powerful information management solutions," says Hearn. "This critical mass allowed dmrkynetec significant growth and bodes well to seizing future opportunities."

STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE

Hearn believes global reach is the primary attribute differentiating the company. With multiple locations, the company's agriculture and animal health sector knowledge is credible.

Hearn notes dmrkynetec's record with complex quantitative tracking studies. The industry-leading warehouse of data is essential for tracking performance of companies, products, market segments and respondent behavior. Coupled with their large respondent database, this provides a key to their leadership position. The steadfast respect for respondent confidentiality along with the rewards provided for respondent participation establish dmrkynetec "amongst the most-trusted" firms of its kind in respondent's eyes, states Hearn.

dmrkynetec uses this expertise and technology to undertake from the simplest research request to the most complex, dmrkynetec delivers not just data, but solutions.

POSITIONING ITS SERVICES

Efforts support animal health and nutrition, in both livestock and companion animal. Annual market tracking studies and customized research solutions are conducted for these important market sectors.

The activity in crop protection and biotechnology deliver studies, such as the U. S. study, AgroTrak, and the global sigma program--quantifying agrochemical use, both crop-by-crop and by targeted pests, in over 70 countries.

dmrkynetec also specializes in customized research for other agriculture sectors. They support agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturers as well as conduct consumer and food chain research. Studies include consumer satisfaction, pricing analysis and market segmentation.

"We believe that through knowledge, a company can have confidence," sums up Hearn. "That's confidence in finding solutions, making decisions and positioning products and services for future success."
