MPL Communications MPL Communications is the holding company for the business interests of Sir Paul McCartney. In addition to handling McCartney's post-Beatles work, MPL has also become one of the world's largest privately owned music publishers through its acquisition of numerous other publishing  Inc., profiled in this issue's lead story, was a pioneer in selling financial newsletters with a monthly credit card charge offer. They used the technique successfully in marketing their web site, asking the subscriber to ante up $9.95 per month.
