Microsoft Microsoft will beef up its BI and data warehousing line-up with the late summer release of SQL Server 2005. Oracle After several years of weak enthusiasm for BI (other than the use of its database for data warehouses), Oracle is now back with a major refresh of its product line. Business Intelligence 10g, which shipped in March 2005, has enhanced functionality across its reporting, analysis, ETL and application development modules, a consistent user interface and an Excel add-in. Alongside BI 10g, Oracle provides a series of analytical applications for financial, sales and performance analysis.
