The heavies: Darrell Stanton.

So, how was 2004 for you?

It was very good. It had a lot of tricks, a lot of skating skating: see ice skating; ice dancing; roller skating.
skating

Sport in which bladelike runners or sets of wheels attached to shoes are used for gliding on ice or on surfaces other than ice.
. It was action packed.

What were some of the highlights?

Just going places, really traveling to different spots I've I've

always good to just see the New Year out, see where it takes me. Where'd it start off? I think it was in Africa.

Now, what was hyped about Africa?

You know what was hyped about Africa. That's me, you and Apple K, and Cazzy.

What were some of the best trips?

I loved that shit.

What else did you get done this last year?

A lot of skating. Y'all y'all

be seeing what I've been getting done. It's been in your mag, fool. We did the Wallenberg thing for Thrasher thrasher: see mimic thrush.
thrasher

Any of 17 species (family Mimidae) of New World songbirds that have a downcurved bill and are noted for noisily foraging on the ground in dense thickets and for loud, varied songs.
. That was way hot.

Who do you think was ripping (1) Converting an audio CD from its native CD-DA format to MP3, AAC or some other compressed audio format. When the term was coined, it had a perverse meaning. Many loved the idea they were "ripping off" the music industry by making copyrighted works available in a compact format  the hardest in 2004?

Definitely D Way. You always do a good job with that shit. Zered, of course. D Calloway, coming through. Peter Ramondoogle. Ernie Torres, Busenitz was ripping--everybody, man.

Do you have any resolutions for the New Year?

Just keep doing what I'm doing. I'm really just trying to keep it going. That's the biggest resolution you can make right there. Just keep on keepin' on. A lot of people fell off this year, a lot of shit went down, and basically it's just to keep on keepin' on.

Are you mad that you didn't win Skater of the Year?

Hell no. How could I be mad that I didn't win Skater of the Year? For real, man. You're scaring me.

Elissa should have won it for the hits she took at Wallenberg. She stepped up. That was some serious drama right there.

Hey, she went for it though, right?

I've never seen any girl take hits like that.

I've rarely seen people at all take a hit like that. That's some serious, serious just smack right there. I heard that and I was on the roll-in. So, yeah, that was serious.

Who should we keep an eye out for 2005?

Ernie Torres, Peter Ramondetta Peter Ramondetta (born 1982) is a professional skateboarder. Ramondetta was born in Witchita, Kansas, United States and lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States as a teenager. , basically all the people you've been looking at. D Calloway, Ryan Gallant, P Rod, and I'm going to throw myself in there.
