And Meredith Zimmerman, 18, wanted to help her friend Nathan. Hoping to donate a kidney to him, she underwent medical testing ... only to learn she is not a match. Now, Meredith is working with an organ-pairing program to donate a kidney to someone who is compatible. As for Nathan? Turns out his sister-in-law is a tissue match and plans are underway to transfer her kidney to Nathan.
