The five fundamental skills.


There are five basic skills that players of all ages and skill levels should try to develop in order to produce strokes of a high standard.

1. Do not take your eyes off the ball.

2. Work for speedy footwork to the ball and a quick recovery for the next shot.

3. Maintain good balance; keep a low center of gravity Gravity

The gravitational attraction at the surface of a planet or other celestial body. The quantity g is often referred to simply as “gravity’’ or “the force of gravity’’ of Earth, both of which are incorrect.

4. Control your racket swing, throw, or punch Punch

5. Be aware of the height and angle of your racket face at the point of contact with the ball.
