The likely result is a return of the state Senate to Democratic control and at least two, and probably three, U.S. House losses this November (Davis, Northup, and Lewis)--plus a Democratic sweep of the governor's and other state offices next year.

Don't be surprised when McConnell expands his hubristic miscalculations to a national stage. If you want to see what McConnell will do for national Republicans, watch how he's destroying his party right here at home.
