The church a healthy body? Reality and vision of the church.The symbol of Church as a body, which you can find in 1. Cor 12:5ff, inspired young people to draw a critical picture of the present church: We think that our churches have a lot of meetings. They bring out a lot of books and documents. The church likes traditions and regulations. Therefore the big head. In our churches people like to discuss and to speak a lot. Therefore the big mouth. The hands are in comparison to the head very small, because the church prefers to speak than to act. The church thinks a lot about traditions. Therefore the wrinkles wrinkles See bells and whistles. . The church prefers to look at its own problem than to look outside. Therefore the crossed-eyes. The ears are not very big. Because the church doesn't does·n't Contraction of does not. take time to listen to young people Our churches are very rich. Therefore the jewels. Our churches don't don't 1. Flexible bones and muscle to react quickly Big ears to hear the voice of God and the cries of young people Arms to lift them up to God Legs to move out and meet the people Strong and willing hands to act and help young people in need and to lead them "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.
