In this interview with the renowned Egyptian caricaturist car·i·ca·ture n. 1. a. A representation, especially pictorial or literary, in which the subject's distinctive features or peculiarities are deliberately exaggerated to produce a comic or grotesque effect.

designer, and book-maker, the artist presents his perspective on his
work in general, and insights into children's books--their designs
and illustrations--in particular. Recalling his childhood, he sums up
his experience saying: "What impacts us, and points us to our
cultural orientation, is not the artistic masterpieces only, but the
