My friends told me my BF cheats on me. I asked him and he would never cheat. Are my friends who I think they are?

Could my BF be cheating?

BILL: Unfortunately, cheating without getting caught can be a thrill for some guys. And show me a cheater--I'll show you a liar, So if your BF truly is cheating, it's doubtful he'll 'fess up. If you want to play this game until you come across some hard evidence, that's up to you.

DAVE: Make a list of who told you what, and determine if anyone has something to gain by deceiving you. As long as your friends are true to you, I'd speculate that your boyfriend is jerking you around. But maybe your buds have ulterior motives I don't know about. Only you can make the final decision about who is giving you the straight story.

My BF broke up with me a while ago because he said he wasn't ready for a GE Well, lately, he acts like he likes me, and 1) still like him. Do we have a chance?

BILL: Many guys aren't great at showing affection, expressing feelings or any of the other stuff in life that doesn't involve sports or TV. Give him credit for leveling with you, but pay attention to his recent actions as well. Sounds like you might have a chance.

DAVE: You have a fine chance. Your smart guy is self-aware enough to know he wasn't up for a GF at that time. You're lucky--if he had jumped into a relationship before he was ready, it would have failed miserably. Hang in there (without being clingy), and you just might be in the right place at the right time.

My BFF doesn't know her crush and I are dating. I feel really bad because the last time we crushed on the same guy, she let me go out with him! Am I a bad person?

DAVE: Uh, you're developing a pattern. If nothing else, you get high marks for consistency. Are you sure you truly like these guys, or do you just go for em because your friend does (or vice versa)? Do some self-evaluation because you're on a path that could only lead to trouble. There's a contingency to the BFF thing regarding repeatedly dating your friend's crush-it voids the whole deal. Have you heard of the TEE (Total Enemies Eternally) program? You will.

BILL: Did you date him after she started crushing on him? Seems like it, or you wouldn't be writing! That's probably a penalty in the field of crushing. Yellow flag, 15 yards. A friendship can't end on a penalty, though, so you'd better come clean to your BFF.

My BF moved, and we promised to write each other. I've sent 10 letters, but he hasn't responded. I know the address is right because my letters haven't come back. Please tell me what's going on.

DAVE: Yikes! Writer's block? Can't afford stamps? Concerned he might become an anthrax suspect if he goes near a post office? He could be trying to tell you something--without saying it. You're better off using your ink elsewhere. Write him off, girl.

BILL: It could be one of three things: 1) He's nervous about returning your perfectly composed letters with something less eloquent. 2) He's selfish and opportunistic, so he's ignored the letters and moved on. 3) His mom brings in the mail and, thinking the letters are from a crazy neighbor back home, tosses them straight into the recycling bin. If your house is like mine, it's probably No. 3.
