The board of directors of Rubbermaid approved the acquisition of Empire Brushes, a privately-held company headquartered in Greenville, NC. The transaction will be for an undisclosed number of Rubbermaid common shares. Rubbermaid also has acquired the assets of Carex Heath heath, tract of open land
heath, tract of open land characterized by a few scattered trees, abundant moss cover, and numerous low shrubs, principally of the heath family (see heath, in botany).
