I read with great interest the News Update item on the renewed efforts schools are making to address the issue of childhood obesity childhood obesity Public health Overweight in a child, an average BMI of ≥ 85% for age and sex; ≥ 95% for age and sex is very obese. As a transportation consultant, I strongly support efforts to encourage walking-advocacy programs, based on state guidelines guidelines,
