The abortion controversy.

 Bishop Franz Kamphaus has broken rank with his brother bishops, who have all decided to accept the Pope's request that Church-related agencies no longer participate in government-approved crisis pregnancy centres. Under the German government's plan, participating counselling agencies must provide their clients (i.e., pregnant women) with a certificate that can be used to procure To cause something to happen; to find and obtain something or someone.

Procure refers to commencing a proceeding; bringing about a result; persuading, inducing, or causing a person to do a particular act; obtaining possession or control over an item; or making a person
 an abortion (See C.I., June '00, p. 25).

Bishop Kamphaus maintains that the agencies in his diocese DIOCESE, eccl. law. The district over which a bishop exercises his spiritual functions. 1 B1. Com. 111.  which participate in the government program should provide such "professional, spiritual and material" help so that women would be less likely to seek abortions. He will evaluate his diocese's involvement after one year to see how it compares with the other German bishops' crisis pregnancy programs that are totally pro-life pro-life Pro-choice, see there .
