The York Group Inc. Announces the Completion of the Merger With Matthews International Corporation.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 2001

The York Group Inc. (Nasdaq:YRKG) today announced that it has completed the merger with Matthews International Corporation that York initially announced on May 23, 2001. Matthews has agreed to pay $11.00 per share to York stockholders of record as of the end of trading today. York will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Matthews.
