The Yankee Group (the Yankee Group, Boston, MA, www.yankeegroup.com) A major market research, analysis and consulting firm founded in 1970 by Howard Anderson. It provides general consulting and strategic planning in the computer and communications field. , a global leader in technology research and consulting, announced today the appointment of Dean McCausland, a 15-year veteran of technology growth companies, as its chief financial officer. As primary member of the Yankee Group's senior management team, McCausland is responsible for the company's financial and accounting activities, and closely involved in the area of strategic mergers and acquisitions for the Yankee Group.

McCausland was formerly the vice president of finance and corporate development for Gamera Bioscience Corporation, a genomics hardware company in the Life Sciences field. He was a founding member of their executive team, and positioned the company for sale to Tecan Pharmaceutical. He was also the chief financial officer for Biodevelopment Laboratories, Inc., a service organization formed as a spin-off from Arthur D. Little Arthur D. Little, Inc. is the world's first management consulting firm. Founded in 1886 by Arthur Dehon Little, an MIT chemist who discovered acetate, and co-worker Roger Griffin, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Arthur D.
