The Hall of Fame is headquartered in Sharon, Pennsylvania, United States. It includes a theater and a museum. It was originally organized in 1998. & Museum in Sharon, Pa., announced the 2001 inductees from the 1940s, '50s, '60s, '70s and '80s, many of whom will be on hand for a special concert, which will air as a PBS PBS in full Public Broadcasting Service Private, nonprofit U.S. corporation of public television stations. PBS provides its member stations, which are supported by public funds and private contributions rather than by commercials, with educational, cultural, fundraising special. The groups include the Bee Gees, Eagles, Oak Ridge Boys, Lettermen, Gladys Knight & The Pips, and Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, who will all receive the Harmony Award, which stands for outstanding contributions to the world of vocal group music. Previous inductees include the Andrews Sisters, Beach Boys, Crosby, Still & Nash, the Supremes, Temptations, Jackson Five, Kingston Trio, Three Dog Night, the Mamas & the Papas, and Peter, Paul & Mary, to name a few. In addition to the current Beatles exhibit, the museum showcases more than 100 vocal groups' memorabilia, including a Lettermen signature sweater, the Supremes' gowns, the Association's gold records and the Mills Brothers' original guitar.
