The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Implements Newest GERS Merchandising and Inventory Solutions.
GERS Retail Systems, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions, today announced that the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has implemented the latest version of GERS Merchandising and Inventory solutions for General Retail. Among the new functionalities of Version 9.2 are new modules for collaborative inventory and cost management, and a new price and promotions management module.
The new Collaborative Inventory Management capabilities allow retailers to ensure a constant in-stock position without incurring inventory cost and liability. Automatic ownership occurs at the time of store shipment or sale, which increases margins and customer satisfaction.
"Vendor Owned Inventory comprises 80% of our operations and incorporating the GERS' Collaborative Inventory Management module into our system has simplified and lowered the costs of a very complex process for us," said Brad Brown, IT Director for the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. "Doing this upgrade with GERS as a Beta Partner was not only a very successful team accomplishment, it saved the DABC a significant amount in labor and expenses."
In addition to Collaborative Inventory Management, the Merchandise Management application in Version 9.2 includes modules for Landed Cost, Item Imaging, and Price & Promotions Management that contribute to improved profit margins and increased customer satisfaction.
