The US Might Use MeK & Iraqi Sunnis To Destabilise Iran.

At a talk-show in the US government-funded al-Hurra TV network last week, one of the participants said American strategists might use the Iraq-based Iranian opposition organisation Mujahedeen e-Khalq (MeK) and its Sunni allies inside Iran to destabilise the Shi'ite theocracy of Tehran.

MeK has had a base in Iraq since the 1980s. It worked closely with the Sunni Arabs under the Ba'thist dictatorship of Saddam Hussein and later. As soon as the US invaded Iraq and toppled Saddam's regime in April 2003, American forces moved to contain the MeK. But since then, these forces have been used by the Americans in various aspects of human intelligence in Iraq and Iran, as MeK has a network of clandestine cells throughout Iran as well as in different parts of Iraq.
