The Tire Society.

Papers are solicited for the 26th Annual Conference of The Tire Society The Tire Society is a professional body, specifically an engineering society, whose mission is to increase and disseminate knowledge as it pertains to the science and technology of tires. It hosts a two-day Meeting and Conference every year. , to be held September 25-26, 2007, in Akron, OH.

Technical sessions are planned for the presentation of papers based upon topics related to tire materials, mechanics, processing, manufacturing and applications. Examples include tire performance/mechanics; properties of tire materials; fracture fracture, breaking of a bone. A simple fracture is one in which there is no contact of the broken bone with the outer air, i.e., the overlying tissues are intact. In a comminuted fracture the bone is splintered.  and adhesion adhesion /ad·he·sion/ (ad-he´zhun)
