, we found that Structure's nMarket product had the functionality that we needed for California business operations Business operations are those activities involved in the running of a business for the purpose of producing value for the stakeholders. Compare business processes. The outcome of business operations is the harvesting of value from assets ," said Robert Sherick, Director of Power Supply for Pasadena. "In addition, the product is widely used by other market participants, so we felt confident that the implementation and integration of the system would go smoothly."

nMarket is now being used by PWP to help manage the submission of energy and transmission schedules to the CAISO as well as create and submit ancillary service bids and real-time imbalance energy bids. This helps ensure that the benefits of participating in the CAISO are maximized while minimizing the costs to PWP's electric customers.

Pasadena is also using Structure's nMarket software to create shadow settlement statements, in order to verify the CAISO's preliminary and final settlement statements for the power transactions. Utilizing nMarket, Pasadena has also realized the ability to generate numerous reports to support both front- and back-office business activities for the City of Pasadena's power trading business.

"This was a great project for us. Structure's team of professionals completed implementation, integration and training for PWP in 10 weeks," Structure Director JP Harper said. "We are seeing continued strong interest in our nMarket California product as companies begin to prepare for the upcoming CAISO market protocol changes scheduled for late 2007."

The PWP implementation represents the 21st installation of Structure's nMarket California product in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .
