The Steele Foundation Acquires Highly Respected Asia Investigative Team.


Additions to Practice Bring Expanded Forensic Investigation and Risk Analysis Capability

HONG KONG & SAN FRANCISCO -- The Steele Foundation, a global provider of strategic investigative, consulting and security solutions, today announced the acquisition of an internationally recognized team skilled in analytical, investigative and valuation support for lawyers, financial services firms, regulators and corporate clients throughout Asia.

Bringing 35 years of law enforcement experience both in the United Kingdom and as a detective chief inspector with the Royal Hong Kong Police Force The Hong Kong Police Force is the police force of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Between 1969 and 1997, it was named Royal Hong Kong Police Force. , Peter Goode has come to Steele as managing director for the Asia Pacific region. He is joined by colleagues Alan Wong and Tony Fu, who respectively have been named Asia Pacific regional director of operations and senior investigator.

The team comes to Steele from the management consulting firm of Alvarez & Marsal Asia Ltd, where they established a successful practice focused on compliance and regulatory requirements such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act See SOX.  and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

Mr. Goode has built a notable career in the areas of fraud, forensic accounting Forensic accounting, sometimes called investigative accounting, involves the application of accounting concepts and techniques to legal problems. Forensic accountants investigate and document financial Fraud and white-collar crimes , corruption and related business investigations. While at Alvarez & Marsal, he was a director of the dispute, forensics and analysis practice. His expertise has been recognized by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), division of the U.S. Dept. of Justice charged with investigating all violations of federal laws except those assigned to some other federal agency.  and the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to his work at A&M, Mr. Goode was a director with the Chinese Services Group of Deloitte & Touche in Hong Kong, where he managed a major expansion of the firm's business intelligence and investigation practice throughout northeastern Asia. Previous to his work with Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Goode established Arthur Andersen's fraud investigation division in Tokyo.

Mr. Fu has been awarded numerous commendations by regional and district commanders for his achievement, outstanding performance and devotion to duty, including the Colonial Long Service Medal This is awarded to military personnel of the AFP by the Chief of Staff, AFP, and Major Service Commanders.

To earn this award, a military person must have completed 20 years of faithful and honorable service with the AFP and for each additional five (5) years, one bronze star
 from Her Majesty the Queen of England.
