), has launched two new retirement savings campaigns designed to appeal to retirement plan participants Plan participants

The Standard's 401-yay!(SM) campaign targets 401(k) plan participants, while Rethink Retirement! targets participants in non-401(k) plans, such as 403(b) plans. Materials may be used in conjunction with the upcoming National Save for Retirement Week, which runs Oct. 18-24. This special week was recently established by Congress to help increase personal financial literacy Financial literacy is the ability of individuals to make appropriate decisions in managing their personal finances. Raising levels of financial literacy is now a focus of government programmes in countries including[1] Australia, Japan, the United States and the UK.  and raise awareness of the retirement savings vehicles available to workers, including public- and private-sector employees, employees of tax-exempt organizations and self-employed individuals.
