THE SOFTWARE MARKETING SUMMIT & SUMMIT AWARDS

Mark those calendars: This coming April 7-8, we're hosting a major conference in San Francisco for top-level software marketing professionals. We're still putting the finishing touches on the program, but most of our speakers and topics are now in place--and it looks like we're going to have a really solid, high-energy event that goes well beyond the usual bootcamp-level stuff. Our focus is on leading-edge issues--new consumer buying models, changes in channel dynamics, installed base and continuity marketing, direct selling, electronic distribution, segmentation strategies, competitive positioning, and the like. As part of the Summit conference, Soft.letter will also host a Marketing Summit Awards competition for software-related product promotions. We've recruited a blue-chip panel of judges, who will award top honors in six categories--advertising, direct mail, public relations, packaging, merchandising, and overall marketing strategy- The leading entries will be on display during the conference, and the winners will be honored at a banquet on April 7.
