The Society of Independent Show Organizers (Chicago Ridge, IL), The Jordan, Edmiston Group (New York) and Reed Business Information's "Tradeshow Week" (Los Angeles, CA) have released "Exhibition Online Marketing & Event Management Trends," a survey/research report that examines tradeshow management's use of the web and digital media to create and extend relationships with their communities beyond traditional event hours. According to results, a majority of the more than 100 tradeshow companies who responded are connected to their communities via the web by links to partner sites. Additionally, many tradeshow producers are providing basic services via the web, including online registration and interactive floor plans. However, only about half (54%) are driving ancillary revenue through the web, primarily via banner advertising and directories. The entire report can be viewed at jegi.com.
