The School Administrator 2002 subject and author index. (A-Z).

About This Index

The School Administrator is published monthly (except July). Articles in this index use the following system of indexing. Page numbers follow abbreviation abbreviation, in writing, arbitrary shortening of a word, usually by cutting off letters from the end, as in U.S. and Gen. (General). Contraction serves the same purpose but is understood strictly to be the shortening of a word by cutting out letters in the middle,  of month. For example, NOV judgment notwithstanding the verdict (N.O.V.) n. reversal of a jury's verdict by the trial judge when the judge believes there was no factual basis for the verdict or it was contrary to law. The judge will then enter a different verdict as "a matter of law.  02:37 refers to the November 2002 issue, page 37. Nearly all articles are available on AASA's website (www. aasa.org).
