The Salvation Army and General Growth Properties Team up to Gather Donations for the Victims of the California Wildfires.

Founded in 1865, The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. The Salvation Army provides services to 42 million people annually and is present in 109 countries. Services provided include programs for inner-city youth, transitional living centers for the homeless, housing for families with HIV/AIDS HIV/AIDS Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome , summer camps, substance abuse recovery programs, child and adult day care, homes for pregnant teens and disaster relief.

DISASTER RELIEF EFFORTS:

The Salvation Army is responding to meet the needs of those affected by a string of massive wildfires raging throughout Southern California from Ventura County to the Mexican border. On the front lines, in San Diego and San Bernardino, Salvation Army emergency disaster services personnel are currently providing round-the-clock meals and pastoral crisis counseling to fire and police officials and affected residents.

The Salvation Army's Camp in Malibu is also providing housing, food, and recreational activities for 150 displaced students from the CEDU CEDU [not an acronym] See and Do (organization based on concept that children see and do)  High School, located in Running Springs.
