The Rainforest Cafe.


The Rainforest Cafe Rainforest Cafe is a themed restaurant chain owned by Landry's Restaurants, Inc. of Houston, Texas. It was founded and created by entrepreneur Steven Schussler. Description  was desperately trying to merge with Landry's, the owners of Joe's Crab and other restaurants. The State of Wisconsin Investment Board complained about the deal and eventually blocked the merger after a shareholder vote was postponed from April 18 to April 28th. The merger was cancelled on April 26th, even while Rainforest beat the vote drums, to no avail.

The company, which launched in the Mall of America Mall of America (also MOA, MoA, or the Megamall) is a shopping mall located in the Twin Cities suburb of Bloomington, Minnesota.
