The Public Policy Conference: MS activists will follow the money trail.

On Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week. , March 11, MS activists from across the country will meet at the National MS Society's 2007 annual Public Policy Conference in Washington, DC. They will bring fervent voices and personal connections to the political debate on research funding Research funding is a term generally covering any funding for scientific research, in the areas of both "hard" science and technology and social science. The term often connotes funding obtained through a competitive process, in which potential research projects are evaluated and  and other policy issues affecting people with MS.

For three days, the activists will network and debate. Then, on Wednesday, March 14, all the participants head for the Hill. National Board members, representatives from other MS organizations, and physicians, including representatives from the American Academy of Neurology The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) is a professional society for neurologists and neuroscientists. As a medical specialty society it was established in 1949 by A.B. Baker of the University of Minnesota to advance the art and science of neurology, and thereby promote the best , will join people with MS and other Society volunteers in asking federal legislators for support.

Before coming to a final resolution by April 15, legislators need to know what issues are most important to their constituents.
