The President's Challenge.Join us on April 21 at the Tulip Time Scholarship Games and test your fitness! If you match the standards in exercises like curl-ups, the shuttle run, the V-sit reach, the one-mile run, and pull-ups, you could earn the most coveted award. The award is earned by athletes in the top 15 percent of kids in the country. Curl-Ups Measure your abdominal strength; see how many curl-ups you can do in one minute. Pull-Ups See how many pull-ups you can do. (There is no time limit.) Grasp a bar using an overhand or underhand grip. Keep your legs straight. Pull your body up until your chin comes over the bar; then let yourself back down.
