The Performing Set: The Broadway Designs Of William And Jean Eckart William and Jean Eckart were a husband-and-wife pair of leading set designers in the 1950s and 60s. The two designed sets, costumes, and lighting for many shows, including Mame, Of Mice and Men, Here's Love, Once Upon a Mattress, and  by Andrew B. Harris (formerly Chair of the Theatre Departments of Columbia University, Texas Christian University Texas Christian University, at Fort Worth; Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); coeducational; opened 1873 at Thorp Spring, chartered 1874 as Add Ran Male and Female College. It assumed its present name in 1902 and moved to Fort Worth in 1910. , and Southern Methodist University Southern Methodist University, at Dallas, Tex.; United Methodist; coeducational; chartered 1911. The school's facilities include laboratories for electron microscopy and stable isotopes, a museum of paleontology, and a graduate research center. ) is an eclectic and intrinsically interesting interpretation and collection of the works and influence of two outstanding visionaries and the mutual understanding the two of them shared.
