This is a ten-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. Beginning in 1996, The Orkand Corporation has won project work under the CIOSP I contract as well.

Like CIOSP I, the CIOSP II contract is a vehicle through which federal agencies may purchase an array of information technology solutions. However, unlike CIOSP I, CIOSP II presents more labor categories, and more services aimed at supporting CIOs in meeting today's policy requirements.

CIOSP II is structured around nine task areas:

Contract and task order management

Critical infrastructure protection Department of Defense (DOD) program to identify and protect assets critical to the Defense Transportation System. Loss of a critical asset would result in failure to support the mission of a combatant commander.
