The North Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce: a different kind of business.


The North Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (NVRCC), formerly known as the Northridge/Porter Ranch ranch, large farm devoted chiefly to raising and breeding cattle, horses, sheep, and goats. The cattle ranch was introduced from Latin America to Texas and the plains of the W United States and Canada.  Chamber, has established itself as one of the premiere business organizations in the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

With a staff of seven, the chamber focuses on developing programs and services that creates opportunities for its members to expand their businesses. Unique among other business organizations, NVRCC has a monthly calendar of more than 20 activities, including two monthly mixers and a monthly networking breakfast. To meet the needs of professional service providers, the chamber has developed four networking clusters, with a fifth in formation. Each cluster has 20-32 participants and meets weekly to exchange business tips and referrals, and, develop a greater understanding of each other's business and needs. Participation is limited to one business classification in the cluster, with some of the clusters having a core theme, such as home improvement and real estate, events and entertainment, senior services, and health and wellness.

Recognizing that local businesses need affordable local advertising, the chamber has partnered with Decision Publications to create three community newspapers (Northridge Northridge is the name of some places in the United States of America:

 Hills Community News) that are mailed monthly to every household in the chamber's service are; approximately 50,000 homes. The three 28-page newspapers offer chamber members targeted advertising concentrated within their service area, at affordable rates.

A key feature of the newspapers are the ten service directories that identify chamber member businesses by category. The service directories have proven to be very popular with both chamber members and the community at large, which uses the directories for identifying local service providers.

The publications also "direct" residents to the chambers website (www.nvrcc.com) which includes detailed member information, links to member websites, a coupon section, and, a community/government services directory, among just a few of the website's features.
