Woodman and Doyle take the narration in turn, one as Louis and the other as Pascal Dannachet. Each also creates the voices of the parents, physicians and detectives with ease, keeping accents and tones intact while maintaining the mystery and suspense. A remarkably involving tale with a feeling reminiscent of The Lovely Bones and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
