The Nevada Star Resource Corp. Update on The MAN Alaska Canwell Complex: Fundamental Ingredients for World-Class Discovery.SEATTLE -- Nevada Star Resource Corp. (OTC-BB: NVSRF and TSX-V: NEV NEV Nevada (old style US postal abbreviation) NEV Neighborhood Electric Vehicle NEV Nevis, Leeward Islands, Saint Kitts And Nevis (Airport Code) NEV Network Enhancement Vehicle NEV Network Event Viewer ) ("Nevada Star") is pleased to release encouraging results from studies of integrated exploration geology, geophysics, geochemistry geochemistry, study of the chemical changes on the earth. More specifically, it is the study of the absolute and relative abundances of chemical elements in the minerals, soils, ores, rocks, water, and atmosphere of the earth and the distribution and movement of and drilling generated since 1995 for the Canwell Nickel-Copper Platinum-Group Element (Ni-Cu-PGE) prospect on Area 4 of the MAN Alaska Project, Delta River The Delta River is a tributary of the Tanana River, which in turn is a tributary of the Yukon River in Alaska in the United States. The river runs from the south to the north about 256 km (160 miles), being fed by numerous streams and 21 lakes. Mining district, Alaska. Analysis of the newly integrated database revealed higher nickel values than previously reported, newly recognized Ni-Cu-PGE anomalies between the Lower Canwell and East Canwell showings, and increased potential for large deposits of disseminated sulfide mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. . Sulfide Geochemistry In the eastern part of the Canwell Complex, a massive sulfide sample (HDB-2002-12) from the Lower Canwell prospect assayed 15.40% Nickel, 3.32% Copper, 0.33% Cobalt, and 1.2 ounces per ton (40 g/t) PGE PGE Pacific Gas and Electric Company PGE Portland General Electric PGE Prostaglandin E PGE Platinum Group Elements PGE Pacific Great Eastern (Railroad) PGE Phenyl Glycidyl Ether PGE Perfect Girl Evolution +Gold+Silver. This nickel value is approximately 2% higher in absolute value than previously reported for a different sample. The silver assay for this sample is 0.88 ounces per ton (30 g/t); values for this metal have not previously been reported. These results for nickel and silver indicate that Canwell sulfides are even more metal-rich than previously realized. Geology The Canwell Complex is a Triassic (230 million years old) mafic-ultramafic intrusion 6.5 miles (10 km) in length, 3300 feet (1 km) thick. A total of 30 mineral showings and prospects have been found on the Canwell Complex to date. Exploration Geophysics Exploration geophysics is the applied branch of geophysics which uses surface methods to probe or detect properties of the subsurface Earth. Exploration geophysics is the practical application of physical methods (such as seismic, gravitational, magnetic, electrical and Airborne and ground magnetic and electromagnetic (EM) surveys guided mapping of the lithologies and detection of geophysical anomalies within the Canwell Complex. Inverse three-dimensional modeling reveals the presence of three large magnetic bodies, suggesting a composite intrusion. The easternmost of these bodies is the most irregular in shape and hosts the majority of the mineral showings. Airborne, VLF (Very Low Frequency) See low radiation. , UTEM and Max-Min surveys resulted in the detection of highly conductive conductive having the quality of readily conducting electric current. conductive flooring flooring or floor covering made specially conductive to electrical current, usually by the inclusion of copper wiring that is earthed anomalies. The anomalies were modeled as two linear conductor axes. The first is 3900 feet long and associated with the Lower Canwell showing area in the eastern part of the Canwell Complex. The second is 3000 feet long in the central part of the Canwell Complex. Drilling Results Several Canwell drill holes intersected very thick zones of weakly mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. To convert to a mineral substance; petrify. 2. To transform a metal into a mineral by oxidation. 3. dunite dunite Yellowish green to green igneous rock composed almost entirely of olivine. Chromite and magnetite also occur in dunite, as do spinel, ilmenite, pyrrhotite, and platinum in some cases. Dunites may be a source of chromium. Places of occurrence include Dun Mtn. . The best intersection was 560 feet (170 metres) of (weighted-average of 110 samples) 0.27% Nickel, 0.02% Copper, 0.01% Cobalt and elevated PGE+Gold+Silver in drill hole CAN0405 (see Press Release, March 17, 2005). Approximately 660 feet (200 metres) south, drill hole CAN0204 intersected 310 feet (95 metres) of 0.21% Nickel starting at the surface. Near the Odie-PGE showing, about a half mile (1 km) southeast of CAN0204, drill hole CAN0206 intersected 330 feet (100 metres) of 0.29% Nickel, 0.02% Copper starting at 90 foot (30 metres) depth. Near the Lower Canwell showing, 1 mile (1.5 km) farther east, drill hole CAN0309 intersected 240 feet (70 metres) of 0.29% Nickel, 0.02% Copper and elevated PGE in the hangingwall to the showing. All these drill results reflect the presence of sulfides and highlight the potential for large zones of disseminated to weakly disseminated sulfide mineralization, either as discrete deposits or halos about massive sulfide deposits. With this realization, the Lower Canwell-East Canwell area, the East Canwell showing itself, and the Glacier Lake showing (3.48% Nickel, 1.38% Copper, and 0.3 ounces per ton of PGE+Gold+Silver in network sulfides) all represent under explored targets. Summary The Canwell Complex displays many of the fundamental characteristics for a large Ni-Cu-PGE discovery. Like the famous Noril'sk mining camp in Russia, Canwell has numerous mineral occurrences with high grades of nickel, copper and PGE relative to the total amount of sulfide; it has sulfur-rich country rocks; it represents a regional magmatic centre; and it is comagmatic with a major Triassic flood basalt A flood basalt or trapp basalt is the result of a giant volcanic eruption or series of eruptions that coats large stretches of land or the ocean floor with basalt lava. Flood basalts have occurred on continental scales (large igneous provinces) in prehistory, creating great sequence characterized by extreme nickel and PGE depletion. Although exploration has focused on massive sulfide discovery, the thick intersections of disseminated sulfides coupled to the size of the Canwell Complex indicates additional potential for large, low-grade deposits like Mt Keith (500 Mt of 0.5% Nickel) in Australia and Pechenga (1000 Mt of 1% Nickel) in Russia. About the MAN Alaska Project Nevada Star Resource Corp's 271 square mile Alaskan property, officially called the MAN Alaska Project, is located 164 miles southeast of Fairbanks and 248 miles northeast of Anchorage. Exploration by Nevada Star began in 1995 in this large area which is characterized by its extremely anomalous nickel, PGE, and gold concentrations. Exploration results to date on the MAN Alaska property indicate that it has the potential for a significant discovery of nickel, platinum-group elements, and gold metals which are in high-demand but in short supply globally, especially as the Russian Noril'sk supply diminishes. The MAN Alaska Project, which consists of five distinct project areas: Canwell, Rainy/ Eureka, Summit Hill, Dunite Hill/Fish Lake, and Broxson, is supported by a solid infrastructure: it is accessible from two paved highways and borders the Alaska Pipeline. View the project maps at http://www.nevadastar.com/s/MANProject.asp for a breakdown of the project areas. The Dunite Hill/Fish Lake section (Area 1) of the MAN Alaska property is now under joint venture with Anglo American Exploration (USA), Inc. (AAEUS), who is performing its exploration program pursuant to the agreement with Nevada Star. AAEUS is a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Anglo American plc Anglo American plc (LSE: AAL, JSE: ANGLO) is a world-wide group of companies, originally founded in South Africa as a mining enterprise but now extending into other areas.
