The National Dairy Herd Improvement Association (NDHIA) and Holstein USA Inc. announce a cooperative agreement to begin initial implementation of premises and animal identification utilizing Holstein's National Farm Animal Identification and Records (National FAIR) as the terminal database for the program.


The National Dairy Herd Improvement Association (NDHIA) and Holstein Holstein, former duchy, N central Germany, the part of Schleswig-Holstein S of the Eider River. Kiel and Rendsburg were the chief cities. For a description of Holstein and for its history after 1814, see Schleswig-Holstein. For a time part of the duchy of Saxony, Holstein was created (1111) a county of the Holy Roman Empire and was bestowed on Adolf of Schauenburg. USA Inc. announce a cooperative agreement to begin initial implementation of premises and animal identification utilizing Holstein's National Farm Animal Identification and Records (National FAIR) as the terminal database for the program. The National FAIR system is an animal identification and tracking database with 1.2 million animals enrolled in 47 states.
