The National Association of Black Automotive Suppliers (NABAS) Scholarship Fund Announces the 3rd Annual Celebration of African American Entrepreneurs.


DETROIT -- The National Association of Black Automotive Suppliers (Scholarship Fund) will host its 3rd Annual Celebration of African American African American Multiculture A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa. See Race.  Entrepreneurs Gala at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is located in the Cultural Center of the U.S. city of Detroit, Michigan. Founded in 1965, it holds the world's largest permanent exhibit on African American culture.  on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 8:00PM - Midnight.

The NABAS Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarship to over 67 students since 2000. Last year's 18th Annual Scholarship Dinner Title Sponsor was Ford Motor Company; the Scholarship Fund Raised $147,500 and awarded 5 Full Scholarships and 7 Annual Scholarships.

This Year's 19th Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center. The Title Sponsor is General Motors Corporation; and Co-Chair and Keynote Speaker will be Bo I. The NABAS Scholarship Fund is a 501c(3) organization started by NABAS members dedicated to providing college scholarship assistance to high-achieving high school graduates in SE Michigan. It is chaired by Michael J. Guthrie, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Detroit Chassis. Board members are: Jim Williams, Chairman/CEO Pioneer Automotive, Jeanette Abraham, President/CEO Detroit Heading, Rhonda Glover, NABAS Administrative Manager, and Cassis N. Stafford, Account Representative, Comerica Bank.
