The Nation's WeatherForecasters predicted more rain in the Northeast on Saturday, while the Northwest was expected to be clear and the Southwest sunny. Rain was expected to dampen parts of the South and the Great Lakes region as well. A front was expected to push into the Northeast from the Mid-Atlantic through New England, bringing especially heavy rain to Pennsylvania and New Jersey. An associated front was expected to move through the Southeast toward the East Coast, also creating showers and thunderstorms in parts. Some moisture will wrap around the center, generating light showers over the Great Lakes. Light to moderate rain was expected in the Dakotas while the Northwest will clear and the Southwest will see mostly sunny skies. Temperatures were expected to rise into the 80s and 90s throughout the Plains and heat advisories were expected in parts of the Southwest. Temperatures were expected to be in the 60s in the Northeast.
