The Mitsubishi Estate Group has commissioned Hopkins Architects Hopkins Architects (formerly Michael Hopkins and Partners) is a prominent British architectural firm established in 1976 by Michael and Patricia Hopkins. The practice has won many awards for its work and has twice been shortlisted for the Stirling Prize, including in 2006 for  to design a landmark office, retail and restaurant development, marking a new phase for the practice. The Shin-Marunouchi Building will have an estimated project budget of nearly [pounds sterling]500 million (Yen 90 billion / US$850m), and will be almost 200m high. Connecting to Tokyo Station Plaza below, it includes a mix of retail space, restaurants and offices for leading international business tenants. No stranger to prestigious projects, Michael Hopkins Sir Michael Hopkins CBE RA AADipl (b. May 5 1935 in Poole, Dorset) is an English architect. He studied at the Architectural Association and after working for Frederick Gibberd and a spell in partnership with Norman Foster[1]  makes particular reference to the site's location, which being close to the Emperor's Palace is known as the 'gateway to Japan'. Hopkins Architects will have to draw heavily on their experience in creating contemporary solutions in difficult and historical sites, while adhering ADHERING. Cleaving to, or joining; as, adhering to the enemies of the United States.
