The Math Chef.

The Math Chef by Joan D'Amico and Karen Eich Drummond (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 1996, $12.95)

This book is "dedicated to the premise that math can be fun, practical, and delicious!"

Math is an important part of cooking--ingredients have to be counted, measured, or weighed. Sometimes these numbers have to be multiplied or divided to make more or less servings. The Math Chef makes learning these skills fun.

In addition to more than fifty tasty recipes, the book contains sections on cooking skills, units of measurement, kitchen tools, safety in the kitchen, and lots of fun math activities.
