The Los Angeles chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners The National Association of Women's Business Owners (NAWBO) is an organization in the United States founded in 1975 that has the purpose of networking the approximately 10. , known as NAWBO-LA, received a $1 million "challenge grant" last week from Patty DeDominic, chief executive of staffing firm PDQ (Parallel Data Query) A query optimized for massively parallel processors (MPPs). The software breaks down the query into pieces so that several parts of the database can be searched simultaneously. See SMP.  Careers Group.

DeDominic, a former national president of NAWBO NAWBO National Association of Woman Business Owners , has used a challenge grant before to spur others to donate to non-profits. NAWBOLA and its educational non-profit have 10 years to raise $1 million from individual donors in order to receive her gift.
