The Lancet has accused Pope Benedict VXI of distorting science and endangering lives in his crusade to promote Catholic doctrine.

British medical journal the Lancet has accused Pope Benedict VXI of distorting science and endangering lives in his crusade to promote Catholic doctrine. The pope claimed that promoting the use of condoms "exacerbates the problem of HIV/AIDS" and can even "increase the problem." Despite health official's assertions that the male latex condom is the single most efficient way to reduce the sexual transmission of HIV/AIDS, the pope asserts that only the traditional Catholic church teaching of abstinence and fidelity will overcome the epidemic.
