The Joffrey's Giselle.The Joffrey Ballet Joffrey Ballet, one of the major American dance companies. It was founded in New York City in 1954 by the dancer-choreographer Robert Joffrey. From 1956 to 1964 it made yearly tours of the United States. premieres its first-ever production of the canonical Giselle this month. Frederic Franklin is at the helm of the production as coach, while the choreography will be drawn from past versions. The addition of Giselle to the Joffrey repertoire seems, at first, to be an uncharacteristic un·char·ac·ter·is·tic adj.
