The International Mechanical Pulping Conference.


THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL PULPING CONFERENCE, IMPC 2005 is planned in Oslo, Norway for June 7 - 9, 2005. Mill tours will be on June 10, 2005. The conference covers most aspects of mechanical pulping, its manufacture and use, including fiber characterization, wood properties, grinding, fundamentals of refining, as well as bleaching and production and use of chemi- mechanical pulp. IMPC 2005 is organized by The Technical Association of the Norwegian Pulp and Paper Industry The global pulp and paper industry is dominated by North American (United States, Canada), northern European (Finland, Sweden) and East Asian countries (such as Japan). Australasia and Latin America also have significant pulp and paper industries.  (PTF PTF - Program Temporary Fix ). It is being held under the EUCEPA label, and co-sponsors are TAPPI TAPPI Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry , PAPTAC PAPTAC Pulp And Paper Technical Association of Canada , SPCI and PI.
